Mevulak Sachet Uses(Mebeverine HCL  + Ispaghula Husk 135mg + 3.5g  )

DESCRIPTION:
Mevulak® sachet contains ispaghula husk which is a natural plant material and high in fiber. It works by increasing the bulk of contents of the gut passing through the digestive system. Mebeverine is an antispasmodic drug that relieves spasm and cramps, which occur in the gut causing pain. The combination is used to relieve the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome and effective in relaxing the spasms of the gut, relieving pain and also helps restore and maintain bowel regularity

Each sachet contains:
Mebeverine HCI BP. 135mg
Ispaghula Husk USP. 3.5g

Mevulak Sachet Uses Indication

For the symptomatic relief of irritable bowel syndrome. Constipation

Pain, epigastric pain, 

Mevulak Sachet DOSAGE

Adults and children over 12 years of age One sachet in the morning and evening, taken half an hour before meals. A third dose may be taking before the midday meal if necessary
Children below 12 years of age: Not recommended
OR
As directed by the physician
DIRECTION FOR USE: Pour the contents of one sachet into a glass of cold water. Stir well and drink immediately

Side effects

• Mevulak Sachet Side effects
• Flatulence and bloating may be experienced during the first few days of treatment,
• but should diminish during continued treatment
  Anaphylactic reaction, urticaria, rashes, and hypersensitivity may also occur.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

• Hypersensitivity to any ingredient
• Intestinal obstruction,
• paralytic ileus,
• fecal impaction and colonic atony such as senile mega color
• Patients with rare hereditary problems of fructose intolerance,
• glucose-galactose malabsorption o sucrase-isomaltase insufficiency should not take this medicine.
• Patients allergic to peanut or soya should not take this medicine.

 PRECAUTIONS

Pregnancy and Lactation There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. It is, therefore, recommended that care should be taken in prescribing Mevulak® during pregnancy and to lactating mother: Use in Elderly There is no indication that the dose need be modified for the elderly

• Mevulak sachet Special warning for uses
• Check with your doctor before taking medicine if you
  are aged 40 years or over
  have passed blood from the bowel
  are feeling sick or vomiting
  have lost your appetite or lost weight
  are suffering from severe constipation
  have difficulty or pain passing urine
  have been prescribed diuretic medicine
  have acute porphyria
